The Textiles Committee hereby notifies the Draft standard on “Standard Body Measurement
Size Charts and Apparel Size Labeling for Indian Male and Female, framed under the powers
conferred by Section 11 of the Textiles Committee Act, 1963. This standard provides the
framework for body measurement size chart for Indian male and female and apparel size
labelling system based on the body dimensions for consumers, Manufacturers, Retailers and
other relevant stakeholders. All stakeholders including manufacturers traders are advised to
provide their feedback and suggestions, etc. to depqa.tc@nic.in on or before 25 th October
2026 or write to The Director (EPQA), Textiles Committee at the address below with the
subject Standard Body Measurement Size Charts and Apparel Size Labeling for Indian Male
and Female – Feedback
