For any information under RTI Act, 2005:–

  1. The Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India has under the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee and Cost) Rules, 2005, prescribed an application fee of Rs. 10/- for a request for obtaining information under Section 6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005. This could be in cash against proper receipt or by demand draft or by banker’s cheque or Indian Postal Order payable to the Accounts Officer of Public Authority i.e. “TEXTILES COMMITTEE”.
  2. If, the information sought contains more than 1 page, then additional fees of Rs. 2/- per leaf is charged by the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) as per the RTI Act, 2005, which has to be paid by the applicant when CPIO demands. Please refer to the RTI Act, 2005 (Regulation of Fees and Cost Rules, 2005 for details) for the same.
  3. In addition to the above, the Postal Charges in excess of Rs. 50/- will also be charged.
