Textiles Committee, Govt. of India, Ministry of Textiles invites application engaging 05 Technical Field Officers on temporary basis on freelance mode for on-site assessment and marketing activities under the scheme on Assessment and Rating of Ginning & Pressing Factories. The terms and conditions of the engagement are as follows.
  1. The engagement shall be purely on temporary basis on freelance mode.
  2. Candidates should possess prior knowledge/experience in the field of G&P units and cotton processing. Experience in assessment of G&P units as per the Scheme for Assessment and Rating of Ginning & Pressing Factories by Textiles Committee will be given preference.
  3. The duty shall be performed anywhere in India.
  4. Upon engagement, the TFO shall be allotted the work of Assessment / marketing as and when required on day to day need basis.
  5. The remuneration shall be on man-day basis for the actual workdays in a month in the form of honorarium of Rs. 2000 per day subject to not more than pension minus last pay drawn (for pensioners only).
  6. In case of Tour, the TFO is entitled for reimbursement of TA/DA as admissible for QAO (Level 06) under 7th i.e., Rs. 937.50 for Hotel Accommodation; Rs. 1,000 for Food expenses, Travel by Train – AC II Tier / Chair Car (Shatabdi Trains) or lower class / travel by AC bus.
  7. Contingency expenses for stationery / incidental expenses and vehicle hire charges from tour camp station to units and back is admissible subject to production of invoices / bills and approval of the competent authority.
  8. No other allowances / claims shall be entertained.

Interview will be conducted on 13th January 2026 at 3.00 pm in the Textiles Committee, P. Balu Road, Prabhadevi Chowk, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Shortlisted candidates will have the option to attend the Interview through virtual mode also, on request. The Textiles Committee hereby notifies the Handloom Mark (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2025, framed under the powers conferred by Section 23 of the Textiles Committee Act, 1963. These Regulations provide the framework for certification, labelling, and display of handloom products bearing the Handloom Mark, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and traceability across the handloom value chain.   The Regulations specify the procedure for registration, certification, labelling requirements, and related operational provisions to safeguard the integrity of the Handloom Mark Scheme.
